Rob Oelbermann is the owner and founder of Palm Beach Power Boats. He is originally from State College, Pennsylvania and holds a bachelors degree from Penn State University. He is also a veteran of the United States Army. Prior to brokering yachts he was a supervisory stockbroker in the securities industry for many years. Rob has always had an interest in boats and yachts and left the securities industry to get away from “Sitting behind a Desk” Since Florida is so beautiful… I always wanted to be out and about… enjoying the beautiful coastal waters that Florida has to offer. I used to look out the window of the office at it wishing I were out there, and now… I’m out there. The yacht sales business allows me to get involved and enjoy it! I enjoy helping people find the right vessel to fit their budget and enjoy the experience.
Autumn Kirchner has been a boating enthusiast since she was very young. Taught by her dad she learned how to drive and maintain different vessels starting at the age of 8! Autumn says ”I have always been passionate about the water. I grew up skiing and competed professionally in Wake Surfing for a few years. I am just now learning the sport of fishing which is a new found love. I enjoy every moment I get out on the water. I always knew I wanted to pursue a career in yacht sales and relish the opportunity. I am a very outgoing, and driven to succeed in the industry. Doing something you love doesn’t feel like work and that’s what I love most about the business. I appreciate the opportunity I have received to start my career in the marine industry. I enjoy meeting new people and helping them get into their dream boat. Nothing is more exciting or rewarding than that. I enjoy traveling and am working towards receiving my captains license to expand my capabilities. Spending time on the water is what I love to do and how better to do that than to be involved with boats on a daily basis!”
Autumn has been an awesome employee and friend. It would be hard to find a more qualified, helpful, and hard working individual to assist with your boating needs! Give her a call you will not be disappointed!
Capt. Greg has always been a Captain at heart. When I was 2 my family and I moved to Kwajalein, in the Marshall Islands where I grew up surrounded by water and boats. My love for boats grew even stronger when I got my first job at age 14 at the Marina on the island, there I refined and perfected my boat handling and maintaining skills on all different types and sizes of vessels. Going into High School I was already referred to as Captain Greg. I was constantly looked to for tips and lessons on boat handling as well as where the best places to fish would be. As my fascination with boats grew so did the size of the boats and the engines that power them.
After High School Graduation the work boat industry lead me to attend the California Maritime Academy for two years, there after I moved to Florida in the beginning of 2004 when I officially obtained my 100ton Masters license and an Engineers position on harbor tugs in Tampa Bay. In my spare time I love to go out on boats, work on diesels, fish and spend time with my fiancé and our dog, so becoming a Yacht Broker only made sense as it fit in perfectly with my love for boats. I enjoy being outdoors and helping people find their dream boat, I believe it is what I was meant to be.
Growing up on Biscayne Bay in South Florida has allowed me to pursue a life long professional career in the yacht maritime industry in which I am grateful for. Yachts and boats have always been my passion. I began my career learning how to build and repair yachts, and then progressively owning my own company refurbishing and maintaining boats, then earning my U.S. Merchant Mariners license in 1998. This experience has rounded my education and given me a great understanding of vessels particularly in navigating and maneuvering.
From full time Captain to free lance delivery’s I have built an abundant amount of sea time, knowledge and skill with many different yachts both power and sail. I have acquired thousands of miles and many hours on the ocean always with the goal of becoming a yacht broker, I am focused on ethics and reputation that will carry me to the next level of my professional career.
