When I was barely old enough I bought my first boat…a 16 ft Penn Yan, and continued a four generation family boating legacy. I have owned and operated pleasure boats ever since, navigating the Connecticut river, Long Island Sound, Atlantic seaboard, Chesapeake Bay, and the intercoastal. I especially like to perform “searches” for unadvertised vessels that meet our client’s wish list. Let me know if we can be of any assistance. You will find our service prompt and professional.
Growing up in Ohio, I started my passion for boating at a very early age. My grandfather introduced me to sport fishing and also became involved in competitive waterskiing. I began working in the marine industry doing administration for a company called No Wake Marine. I then moved to the South Florida area and pursued my passion for boating by buying my first sailboat where I overhauled and remodeled the boat from top to bottom. Three boats later, I currently own a Monterey cruiser. I love to cruise, deep sea fish and generally just be on the water. With a major in Business, I have been in sales the past 10 years. I am comfortable building relationships with my clients and giving the highest level of customer service. I am pleased to work amongst the Palm Beach Power Boats team, and am happy to help in whatever your boating needs may be.
My love for the water has been a lifelong experience for me. Growing up in Ft. Lauderdale with frequent trips to the Florida Keys has provided me with a great appreciation of the beautiful waterways of Florida. At 14 years of age, my family moved to beautiful Marco Island on the Gulf Side of Florida. While exploring the beaches, I learned the many intricate waterways of the Ten Thousand Islands. I graduated from at Florida State University. I decided to expand my knowledge of the water when I received my U.S. Coast Guard License when I was 19 years old. To further expand my knowledge, I have Captain boats in the Atlantic Pacific and Gulf of Mexico. After graduating FSU, I utilized my degree and became an Accountant for two years. However, the lure of the outdoors and the water brought me back to boating and I worked in sales with Marine Max in Naples, Florida. In my spare time, I love diving, fishing, jet skiing and exploring the waterways of the Ten Thousand Islands.

Rob Oelbermann is the owner and founder of Palm Beach Power Boats. He is originally from State College, Pennsylvania and holds a bachelors degree from Penn State University. He is also a veteran of the United States Army. Prior to brokering yachts he was a supervisory stockbroker in the securities industry for many years. Rob has always had an interest in boats and yachts and left the securities industry to get away from “Sitting behind a Desk” Since Florida is so beautiful… I always wanted to be out and about… enjoying the beautiful coastal waters that Florida has to offer. I used to look out the window of the office at it wishing I were out there, and now… I’m out there. The yacht sales business allows me to get involved and enjoy it! I enjoy helping people find the right vessel to fit their budget and enjoy the experience.
Capt. Greg has always been a Captain at heart. When I was 2 my family and I moved to Kwajalein, in the Marshall Islands where I grew up surrounded by water and boats. My love for boats grew even stronger when I got my first job at age 14 at the Marina on the island, there I refined and perfected my boat handling and maintaining skills on all different types and sizes of vessels. Going into High School I was already referred to as Captain Greg. I was constantly looked to for tips and lessons on boat handling as well as where the best places to fish would be. As my fascination with boats grew so did the size of the boats and the engines that power them.
After High School Graduation the work boat industry lead me to attend the California Maritime Academy for two years, there after I moved to Florida in the beginning of 2004 when I officially obtained my 100ton Masters license and an Engineers position on harbor tugs in Tampa Bay. In my spare time I love to go out on boats, work on diesels, fish and spend time with my fiancé and our dog, so becoming a Yacht Broker only made sense as it fit in perfectly with my love for boats. I enjoy being outdoors and helping people find their dream boat, I believe it is what I was meant to be.
